Deep Hospitality

Rev. Kevin Murphy
When someone knocks or our doorbell rings, we submit ourselves to the risk of being HOSPITABLE... unless we pretend to not be at home. As Christians we are taught to be hospitable and indeed we make every effort to reach out to strangers and make them feel welcome when they visit our Church.
Kevin explains in detail what it means to represent Christ with our every expression of Deep Hospitality. This is not always easy in the real everyday world where being Hospitable makes us vulnerable. As we join the disciples in becoming the hands and heart of Christ we must learn to persevere. With God’s help and grace we shall persevere, and all concerned will experience God’s eternal love.

“The Paradox of the Knowable Jesus”

Guest: Cinda Gorman
MAY 29, 2011
Cinda reminds us that the Ascension of Christ (six weeks after Easter... June 2) is more about rising to a one on one personal association with all future generations rather than being simply a historical occurrence. Jesus is accessible to all generations everywhere. An interesting observation.

“In the World”

Rev. Kevin Murphy
JUNE 5, 2011
Preparation Scriptures: Psalm 68: 1-10 and John 17: 1-11
Are we brought to Christianity more by reading the Bible - or -
by being attracted by others who have found it to be a solid base for their happy and content lives?
The Bible teaches us the culmination of thousands of years of experience concluded by the inspiring teaching of Jesus, and we as believers reflect the resulting peace and joy in our lives.
In this sermon Kevin explains how we can make the greatest contribution to the growth of our Christian way of life through serving as witnesses to our blessings.
